You betcha

You really can't go wrong with any of those. Unless you define what "Best" means to you - there's no way to tell you which one would be best for you. Compare the specs and features of each one and weigh those against your budget.

Unless you go for a Pioneer - those are all the best on the market.

Out of all of those you posted, i think the TH50PZ800 is a killer tv.
But you can find a Pioneer KURO PDP5020F for around the same price or less.

i would love to get a kuro but its a little out of my price range (especially here in canada)

Got BURN IN on my 800U...only gamed on it for a hour a day..after the whole BREAK IN PERIOD...now i have a SAMSUNG 8 Series

i have panasonic plasma TH 46PZ85 its awsome in color and picture is awsome in dvd also...and xbox 360 is great...i think panasonic plasma is the best after pioneer....i have bluray player also in panasonic..DMP BD50 its nice that one to..i did a good choice this time..no problem with burn in..but take it easy the first 100 hours when you buy plasma tv..im from sweden so my english might be bad..hope you understand me a little bit at least.

It really bothers me that people say this... the Panasonic 800U has been said to have better color realism than the Pioneers, and the Pioneers are simply the best mainstream brand... brands like Runco make better displays, just most of us can't afford them

i think it's not the colors but the 24hz as opposed to 60hz processing they're referring to... I know the 800/850 do 24 but they blink or something to where it's not worth having it on that setting.

By the way, what is Runco?

I have a 50pz85U and it is a beautiful piece of equipment. Don't be scared to game with it- I game quite a lot and have not even had to run any of the image-retention white bar things. Don't hesitate for a second to pull the trigger on this one.

but he also says earlier in the review that he would leave it on 60Hz mode due to the flicker... so it's definitely the other aspects of picture reproduction he is saying is more accurate than the KURO


Edit: By the way... RUNCO is a high end display brand whose plasmas I've read are among (if not the) the absolute best, and worth every penny (the 50 incher is $7500)

I remember that name (Runco) from way back. Back then they weren't known for high-end stuff at all. In fact, they were kinda like GERRARD (remember that name?).

thanks for the info with regards to RUNCO.

The flicker is what I was referring to, but I certainly believe that the color reproduction is higher. I love my panasonic 750pzu and will purchase another panasonic in a few years. A fabulous brand.

If you haven't gotten the tv yet, this one is on sale right now from regular $2500 down to $2000. It isn't the best one (the best one is the 800u) but it's only 1 step down. They go in this order. 80u is the lowest one, then 85u, then 800u is the best.

I think I'm gonna go tomorrow to get either the 46" 85u or the 50" 85u. I haven't decided whether I wanna spend $300 more for 4 more inches.
