Hi. I had a raincheck from Kmart for Black Friday (they didn't even have any in stock for that day believe it or not) for the BDP-S350 priced at $179!, so I finally was called today (complained to Sears Holdings Co. about lack of stock - what a coincidence, huh?) to say they had the players in stock, so I get to the store and they bring out the BDP-BX1. I said "um.. this isn't what was advertised..." and they told me that all stores ran out and that they will now be stocking the BDX1 which is essentially the same save the onboard TrueHD decoding, but I think I can live with that for now... So if that is really the only difference that is fine with me - especially since not only did I get the raincheck price but to my surprise they took an additional in-store rebate of $30 to make it come out to $149! Still I am wondering if there is any way possible to get the onboard TrueHD decoding without having to buy another system? Thoughts? would there maybe end up being some firmware update coming up? Thanks!!!

I MEAN IN- STORE REBATE?? THE KMART BY ME HAD NO IDEA OF A $30 REBATE!! What rebate did they give you.

not certain, however I went in with my raincheck for $179.99 and the register when they scanned the raincheck and the BX1 (instead of the s350 which I wanted) it rang up as $149.99. They claimed it was an in-store rebate however thinking about it, the normal $$ for both the BX1 and S350 were $299.99, and they are running a sale now for $249.99 so maybe it is possible that they took the sale price and knocked off the same amount as what they were doing when the item was $299.99? I have a headache now... lol
