Listen to this one! I'd also add "Revolutionary Road," "The Reader," "Gran Torino" and "Synecdoche, New York" as other options (although I've yet to see any of the previously-mentioned four I highly doubt they are as bad or worse than "Bride Wars" or "The Unborn."

the reader was great, catch that if you can. Was not to fond of Revolutionary Road other than the performances the story was bland to me. Yet to see Torino and Synecdoche, New York...but really want to.

Are you going to the Waterfront 22?

Frost/Nixon - entertaining with excellent performances from the two leads, but could have done without the When Harry Met Sally type interviews. - recommended

Four Christmases - moderately funny premise that was poorly excecuted - rental at best

Yes Man - funny Jim Carrey comedy, but if you've seen one before than this isn't anything new - rental

Those are the only ones I've seen although a few friends of mine have seen Valkyrie and like the movie, but thought that some of the performances could have been better.

If I had my choice it would be Slumdog Millionare with The Curious Case of Benjamin Button close behind.

Yeah,I am going to the Waterfront. I am leaning towards Gran Torino, but my girlfriend may not be to interested.

What's your problem?

Don't even bother posting in this thread if you’re not going to contribute in a positive manner.

similar choice in movies and also having a similar sense of humor in a relationship is grossly underrated

I put a poll up of the films that I am interested in and playing at my local theatre. I wish "The Wrestler" was playing there.

Wow, tough choice. I've seen Curious Case and Gran Torino and so I can recommend both of those movies. Clint was just plain awesome in Gran Torino. I got such a kick out of that movie.

You can scratch Marley and Me off the list and put the names of the rest of the films in a hat to determine what you should see. You can't go wrong with any of them.

I would rather see Gran Torino first, because I will be assured a good time.

You would be doing yourself an incredible disservice by not seeing slumdog millionaire.

Saw Gran Torino last night, it was good but not spectacular. Honestly some of the worst acting i've EVER seen in a major motion picture of its caliber. It was so much more of a special interest piece then an entertaining-bad-ass-picture I thought it was going to be. 7/10.

Slumdog, on the other hand, just- ... I don't know. Just outstanding. Absolutely outstanding.

I can't agree more, it was mainly the priest among others, Christopher Carley's acting, that I couldn't stand. But the movie was great.

So...did we find out what he went to?

He probably stayed home to read our responses.
