E3 tonight - Blu-ray Forum

I made a post on here that about E3. This year E3 is being held at the barker hanger at the Santa Monica Airport. I live right by the airport, that is the good news, the bad news is that I went over to the hanger tonight a little before 8:30 p.m. PST and I didn't see anything at all over there. Not even an E3 banner. It's possible that I was too early or that nothing is outside to begin with so I'm sorry to report that I don't have any photos of E3 for tonight. I'm sorry if I disapointed anyone that wanted to see any photos, but I did say that I couldn't promise anything. I'll be over at the hanger tomarrow morning to see if anything is set up or not. To make up for a lack of photos, the ign website has full coverage of E3, so check out the website. I don't have an invitition for E3 so even if I had seen anything from the outside, I couldn't have gone inside, so what can I say. The website has full up to the minute coverage of E3 as it goes on.

It's too bad you weren't able to get any pictures. I tried to get tickets but I was not able to get in because the event is media-only again. I wanted to watch the press conferences but I do not have access to them either. E3 will be great.

+ I know everyone hates G4 but at 6pm tonight (july 11th) they are having live coverage of it ... and all there pre-coverage is on during the day

I am actually watching the Nintendo and Sony press conferences right now on G4 on Directv. Right now Nintendo is showing some boring stupid aerobics gimmick.

They cut to commercial during the game trailers. Like during Halo.

thats what I came on to say - G4 sucks - they have more commercials than show content. Cut to commercial right in the middle of Jack Tretton for PS3 was talking.

I wanted to let everyone know that this mourning on my way to school, I went by the Barker Hanger place and the only noticeable thing was an E3 guest parking sign and another sign that said staff parking. No E3 banner or sign above the doorway and if it hadn't been for the parking signs, it would have looked like an E3 had never taken place at the hanger at all. I didn't take any photos of the outside as there was nothing to see outside so I did try, but hype of E3 really wasn't much.

The event is alot more subdued this year.

The 'big' showcases happening at the hotel suites, not the E3 stage [especially given the 'lots' are standardized now too].

A shame, imo.

Keep in mind that there are other events such as the tokoyto game show so just because you don't hear about something at E3, doesn't mean that you won't hear about the same thing later on.
