Default Matrix

Why the heck do the HD-DVD folks get the Matrix? Isn't that a warner picture? If so should it not come out for BD as well???
does not make since.

At least, that's what they're saying. We know PiP is possible, because Dragon's Lair has it. They want the profit margin we are giving them, but don't want to do much work for it. They are working backwards. They are giving the most support to the ones that give them the least amount of revenue.

You have to buy all the movies...its not like you can buy just The Matrix.
Amazon currently has both POTC movies at 117 and 137 with The Matrix complete at 576 and the Matrix ultimate at 511.

This will hurt the impact that POTC would have had...but as you can see...POTC will still have a major impact on sales.

Typically hd dvd sells less in stores percentage wise then it does at Amazon..which means POTC will probably still outsell The Matrix.

A lot of people will just wait for it on BD also.

The date tells all. On the date Disney drops two of the biggest BD exclusive titles, Warner felt compelled to release two versions of a compensating HD DVD exclusive.

It could have been released any time. To go up against Pirates deliberately was an insult to Disney and all BD supporters.
