What are you favorite films that take place in your home town? I'm from New York so my choices are,... well huge! See if you can find a favorite film from your old stomping grounds.

My selection is "Manhattan" (1979) One of my favorite Woody Allen classics.

I think what he was getting at was that you've been a member for a week, and haev already started about 30 threads. It's hard to ignore if there are so many.

The only major motion picture filmed in Greenville was Leatherheads, but that movie kinda stunk. Parts of Radio were filmed nearby as the events that movie was based on took place here in the Upstate. As far as other films filmed in South Carolina there are many, but my favorites are The Patriot and Forrest Gump.

I live in Saylorsburg, PA. Only one film was shot in my town, The Lottery. I was in it.

LA Story. I was born and raised in Los Angeles and my uncle even works for LACMA(Los Angeles County Museum of Art)

The only thing I can think of being filmed around where I live is parts of the old TV miniseries Centennial.
About fifty miles away at the old Mansfield Reformatory,parts of Tango and Cash were filmed,not to mention the prison in a little film called The Shawshank Redemption was filmed there as well.

i couldnt think of any movies that were filmed in st louis, so i went and worked the trusty google machine and found out that portions of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles were filmed at lambert airport in st louis, and parts of Escape From New York as well were filmed downtown "to give an apocalyptic look" (thats the actual quote from the website, i thought that was funny they used locations in st louis to find that look)

theres also a big to do lately because some george clooney movie is going to begin filming here soon, also at lambert airport, and they were looking for extras
