Default Calibrating New Sony KDL-52W4100

Hi,

I will be receiving my new TV this Friday (CANT WAIT!!!!) and need some help. I am wondering if anybody here owns this TV and would be able to help me with recommended settings for it. I was not able to find this TV on www.tweaktv.com I only found the 46W4100 and am planning on using those settings if I cannot find better ones. Thanks for the help.

Default Settings

Pick up a copy of Digital Video Essentials, blu-ray version assuming you will have a blu-ray player connected. Use movie video mode, turn off drc and other enhancement settings. Sony pushes red, so adjust tint one click to left. Watch tutorial on disc, then make adjustments accordingly. You should do fine, it's not difficult. Best of luck.

Default More on Calibration

Sorry for the short reply, sometimes forget how long I've been in the Install/programming biz, and that it may be second nature to me, but not others. You can also use the Pro video mode, contrast at 2 thirds, brightness at just below half, sharpness at 1 third, tint 1 click to left, and all enhancement like drc etc. off. This will give you a good starting point for using calibration disc, shouldn't have to adjust too much with disc using those settings. Again, Best of luck.

Thats just the "little" brother of the 52W4100 so it should be fine.

BTW...Congrats on the purchase. I just picked up my 52W4100 this past weekend and LOVE it

I've been messing around with my set since I brought it home so I'll give those settings a try tonight and will post the result.
