Smile Subwoofer Placement?

Okay, here is my dilemma.

I am setting up a home cinema in my front room - the dimensions of the room are 16X12. My projector should be arriving today, and my screen (100" Draper) should be arriving next week. I am in the process of selecting a receiver (looking at a Yamaha) and I already have a set of speakers.

My plan is to keep the receiver, Blu-Ray player, etc at the opposite end of the screen near the projector. So, I would be running cables for the center, left and right channels across the room. I thought that might be easier than trying to run a mish-mosh of cables from the opposite end of the room to the projector.

I stopped and said, "Crap! I forgot about the subwoofer!"

If I place my sub at the opposite wall from the screen - near the seating and near the receiver and projector - will that be weird since the screen will be about 14 feet away on the opposite wall?

Or should I look into either placing my electronics closer to the screen? Or is there a way that I can run a subwoofer cable across the room?

Thanks in advance!!

you could always buy a extra long rca cable (subwoofer cable) for a very inexpensive price from online cable retailers. its probably better than moving all your gear near your screen (distraction)

That's a relief! I was hoping that they made long RCA cables!

Make sure you use a Subwoofer cable, RG-6 type and not a cheapie RCA

Not sure why you think the FRONT of the room is automatically the ideal placement for the subwoofer anyways

My sub is halfway between the seating, and the screen.
