I am rethinking some of the layout of the room and system at this point and I hope some of you will voice your opinion. I am thinking of getting a Projection screen in the 106 to 110" size or now with the announcement of the HDI's 100-inch, laser-driven 3D HDTV sometime in 2010 I am considering this as an alternative to the Projection Screen and Projector option.

I am having some problem in deciding where to place the 2 Epik Conquest Conquest Subwoofers that are 22"W X 31"D X 36"H. They are to sit on Subtraps that have been built to 22" W X 30"D X 12"H. So the subwoofers will sit about 48.5"- 49" off of the floor with the footers. I do not have many options to place these monsters. The 3 racks of equipment sit on the wall perpendicular to the wall with the main speakers and center channel speaker. The racks will be approximately 98" (8' 2" long in contiguous length).
If you look at the diagram below of the layout, you will see that initially I had planned to place the subwoofers in the corners beside the extremely large main towers. Also, I do not anticipate that the tower on the right will quite reach the same distance from the wall as the main component rack.
The big problem with this is that the subwoofer on the right will be only about 13" or so from the front main rack. The amps on the rack sit at about 42" off of the floor and the driver of the subwoofer is 18" in diameter so it is quite close to the amps. It is possible, but not a very good option to angle the subwoofers toward the center of the room, but there is not very much space.
The other option is to move the main speakers a little further to the left and right and move the subwoofers to the inner side of the main towers. Now we get into a height issue with the subwoofers being 48.5- 49" off of the floor. If I either get a Projector and Projection screen of or the HDI 100-inch, laser-driven 3D HDTV they will need to be raised higher than would be the norm to clear the subwoofers. The subwoofers could be flipped on their side, but that would not be my preference.
In either position for the subwoofers I believe that I can run a long enough power cord to the 20 amp outlets at about 22" from the left and right corners of the front of the room.
In the mean time, I still intend to get the cart below to mount my Pioneer Elite Kuro PRO-111FD 50" TV on. Since it looks like this will be for some time, I expect to place the Center Channel Speaker in front of the TV and the Cart.
I would very much like your input.
