Default Subwoofer Placement

My room is very narrow and I'm wondering if I place my powered sub directly in front of my front speaker, can in damage my subwoofer? I know this not the ideal location, but the size of my room in limiting. Any advice would be appreciated.

I will also post in the audio section - I'm not sure which thread this fits under best.

There's a thread somewhere for sub placement, but I can tell you that if your front speaker is ported, or there are woofers etc. that will be blocked by the sub, you don't want the sub in front of it for that reason.

As far as damaging it, you'd have to have one hard hitting tower to damage a sub so basically "no" Subs are designed to hit hard, and not provide vibrations, so I can't see how you'd damage it with a speaker facing it.
