Default Just bought Polk Center/Fronts/Rears/Subwoofer

OK, so I decided to pull the trigger and finally upgrade my current speakers to some Polks. I just bought on Newegg the following:

Center: CS10 - $129.00
Fronts: T90e - $139.99(ea) $279.98
Rears: TSI100 - $149.00
Sub: PSW10 - $119.99

Total: $681.95

Free Shipping and No Tax

Is this a good deal? From what I have currently, I hope it is.....I would appreciate anyone's input.....thanks!

The price looks good, hard to turn down for so cheap.

Thanks a lot for your PM! So, I changed the fronts to T90e's, can I still bi-wire them with the 605, and if so, is it the same way as you told me?

yep! you can! you just have to remove the metal bridge (click on link to see what i mean) between the binding posts, then hook them up as i said before and you will be good to go!

ultimately your wallet and your ears will tell you what is what! I like polk, check out my 7.1 joints! I may at some point get a new sub but, i really don't use it too much because all of my speakers are set to large and they get the full juice and can handle it. my sub is set to kick in just before it gets muddy for the surround back speakers but they too are set to large. I'll stand by my Polk speakers!

I think so for the most part, yes. Luckily, I snagged a CS10 on Ebay the other day for $92 ($20 freight), and my 2 PSW-10's for $99 & $100 (Ebay for 1, Private seller from here on the other---both were 98% Brand new, hardly touched!). I'll be ordering the T90e's tomorrow and prob. the Monitor 30's ($79.99/Newegg) as well, for $359.97. Love their Free shipping too.

That's a good deal, and I hope that you enjoy them! Spend the time to set everything up with good placement, especially the subwoofer. I didn't have my subwoofer in a good place, and was horribly disapointed. Moved it around a few times and fine tuned it, now I'm in love with it.

Bi-amped my 400s temporarily, I'm playing around with 5.1 vs. 7.1 at the moment. Probably going to 7.1 this week since I've had them bi-amped a while to see how good it is. I like the bi-amping though.

There's a thread on here about settings for polk speakers with crossover settings and large/small dual bass on/off. It's worth looking through the speaker threads a bit to find good settings so you can get the best settings for them so it sounds better.

Yea, i'll prob. have to find that thread for proper connections and such. (If anyone could PM me with that link, Thx in advance!). - Finalized payment on my CS10 Center a min. ago so I hope that gets in next week. I will prob. order the T90e's from home later today, and maybe the Monitor 30's. Just ordered the 2 Sub cables this a.m. also, so I can hook up Both next week when those get in. Slowly but surely...

What's your opinion on bi-wiring or bi-amping?

Sorry. Hence my needing to look at the above mentioned link for Proper connections and such. If I were you, i'd just PM "Big Daddy", "Driver King", "Crackinhedz", you know - The Usual Suspects.

It's ok but with many more movies coming out in 7.1 and the fact that I do have really good front left, right and center channel speakers I chose to go with 7.1 bi-wiring or bi-amping doesn't make as much of a difference to me as those l&r back channels do. If you listen to a lot of stereo music than you'd be in for a treat depending on the type of speakers you have in your front l&r, otherwise make sure you have good l-c-r speakers and go 7.1 IMO!

How do you like your 2 PSW-10's? I received my second a week ago and couldn't be happier!

Personally I feel like the Polk Monitors/T90e's do benefit from bi-amping. I feel it clears up the highs and mids a bit. If you're not running 7.1 I suggest to at least try it.

Agreed. I was running a 6.1 setup and ditched the one speaker and went back to 5.1. Bi-Amped my Monitor 70s from my Yamaha RX-V863 and sounds better.

I picked up the 2nd PSW-10 last week or so, but had to order the M/F cables which came in, and just ordered the 2 New Sub cables (a 6' one, & a 35' one for the 2nd one which will be going cross/corner from the 1st). So I should have the cables next week sometime and hooked up by Fri/Sat I hope.
