The newest Elite series Blu-ray player from Pioneer’s 2009 lineup is the Pioneer BDP-23FD Elite series. The BDP-23FD takes the BDP-320 even further, and it the first model from Pioneer to feature an RS-232C port for linking to an automated control system, when is perfect for custom installers.
The Pioneer Elite BDP-23FD is fully BD-Live enabled / blu-ray profile 2.0, and can connect to the Internet via the Ethernet port to download firmware updates and view extra features such as special features, games, movies trailers and more. The Pioneer BDP-23FD supports decoded and bitstream output of new lossless codecs such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. 7.1 Channel analog output is also featured. pioneer bdp-23fd 1GB of onboard storage is included for BD-Live, and a USB 2.0 port is featured for adding more memory, and for playing back media files. An advanced picture control suite of 13 video picture controls allows for fine tuning on the video output, while KURO Link Picture Mode detects Kuro HDTV for a dedicated a/v mode which perfectly syncs and optimizes the image for the HDTV. The Pioneer BDP-23FD also makes use of a high quality precision Quartz Lock System (PQLS) Multi-Channel, for jitter free audio on new advanced audio codecs. Expect to find the Pioneer Elite BDP-23FD for a recommended price of $599 in April 2009. |
