Default Wall mount

My wife wants to replace the RPTV in photo three of my gallery. She wants to wall mount a flat panel but also wants to keep the entertainment center in the picture. Would it work or should we get rid of the entertainment center?

It would work. Just make sure there are studs where you plan on putting the TV. It might look a little bare with just the TV so consider putting a stand below the TV.

Agreed. The TV stand below the TV will give you a place to put your center speaker, as well as make it easier to hide some wires/cables behind it.

You could keep the entertainment center without any problem. My only concern would be that if you were watching it from the side that it might block the view of the TV some.

I would suggest wall mounting it and getting a replacement entertainment center which sits below the TV. That way you have a place to put your components. See my gallery for an example.
