Default Long overdue DLP question

I'd like to get some opinions from you guys.I've had my Toshiba DLP for over a year, while i really like it,i've had one issue with it.When turned on it makes a humming noise, similar to an aquarium i would say.It really only seems to bug me,i guess i have sensitive hearing maybe my wife doesnt.I've to research it and i think it has to be the color wheel and not a fan,it stops as soon as its turned off.I still have at least a year left on my warranty, but from what i've heard the color wheel can't be parted out,i don't know if thats true or not.So what do you think the warranty would do for me,send it in for repair,or on site service?Guess that would depend on the company. The picture looks good to me and havent had to replace a bulb yet. Please chime in,esp. if you've had a similar experience. Thanks !

I have heard that color wheels can be noisy. I believe its most common in Samsungs.

I think the easiest way to replace the color wheel is to just replace the whole light engine. I know is possible to purchase just the color wheel. So if you can get your extended warranty to warranty the light engine because of your noisy color wheel then i say go for it.

Ok,thanks, the noise might be a more common problem than i thought.I may try to get it fixed,i just don't want to be without a tv for an extended amount of time, but maybe they can do it in-home,not sure,i'll have to look into it.
