How much will Angels and Demons bring in opening weekend? - Blu-ray Forum

Some things to remember. The theaters are now getting to a point where there's a lot to see out there. More and more Summer movies competing for your entertainment dollar. It's being predicted that this will open on 3400+ screens (almost 1000 less than Wolverine and 400 less than Star Trek). The movie is also 2 hours 20 minutes so fewer showings than say Wolverine.

So with all that said, How much will Angels and Demons make this weekend? Will it be number one? How will the top 5 finish up?

Opening next week...

I actually think Angels and Demons will open #2 but then flop badly. Probably make about $60 million domestically, which should at least lead to a quick blu-ray release.

i'm betting on under 40million easily

it doesn't seem like it will bring in a big opening weekend
will probably be #2 or 3 behind star trek and maybe wolverine

next week is the thread i've been waiting for

I hoping for the best. The book was amazing, IMO, real page turner.

yea boom was da bomb but too bad movie is never as good as the book is..just look at the da vinci code

I wouldnt call the DaVinci code a flop.. It has made about $757 million worldwide ($217 million domestic and $540 million overseas). And Angels and Demons was a better book than the DaVinci Code.

I say the movie will make at least $60 million opening weekend.

You honestly think Wolverine is going to pull in $20 million this weekend. It made a little more than $26 million last weekend. Based on your estimate it wouldn't even drop by 25%. I don't think that's going to happen based on how many people are trashing this movie. I would be surprised if it made $12 million this weekend.

I say $50 million for Angels and Demons with Star Trek coming in second with $36 million. Wolverine with $17 million. The Aniston flick will be third with $20 million.

I don't understand whats all the hype for this movie =/

Saw the DaVinci COde teh other day...meh..had some really good ideas at teh first half...but they couldn't give it a solid ending...WAYY too many plot holes..
