Default Summer movies u have seen and your reviews

I have seen 4 movies and i have rated them in order.
#1 Kung fu Panta it was a simple story. But it was soo fun and funny had some great lines...Great voice work by everyone in this movie..Very nice camera work and scenes it was beautiful to look at..
#2 Wall-E pixar does it again with a heart-warming romantic tale..it wasn't amazing but still worth every dollar
#3 Wanted had very good action some twists and turns...fun too many slow motion. story was ok...basic ..we have seen it before but i still liked it.
# 4 Hancock i like will smith alot so i though it was ok,it was a disappointment though...if your a fan of will smith u will be able to sit back and have fun with it...but its probably his worst movie in a long time.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: Aliens, no more out there than previous Indy installments. Shia and Harrison were awesome. Too much CGI 8/10

Chronicals of Narnia: Very meh. Some action, some cheese, 6/10

Speed Racer: Most underrated movie of the summer, action-packed, stylistic, good story. 8/10

Wall-E: One of the best movies I have ever seen. This should get nominated for best picture. 10/10

Horton Hears a Who: Not bad, not great. 7/10

My favs so far:

Wall-E - My favorite Pixar flick and definitely the best movie I have seen this year....so far.

Iron Man - This one was fun from start to finish and I look forward to the sequel.

Hancock - While others may disagree, I thought this was a very good movie. I particularly liked the fact that the movie had a nice plot twist to it. Plus, the movie trailers never gave it away.

Indy Jones - More over the top stunt action took something away from the movie, but it was still a good one.

The Happening - Not as bad as most say, but this SHOULD have been better. Seemed a little rushed to me, but it was still decent.

- Ironman it was good, good acting, good mix of comedy and action, defenetly enjoyable...10/10

- Incredible Hulk, good movie overall, had good action sequences, norton did a good job filling in the role, it was a good remake. 7/10

- The Happening, I wasn't planning on seeing it, but ended up watching none the less, so i had no expectations for it...it was a downer. The plot was just weak....gore on this film was more important than the plot itself. 5/5 (being generous )

- Wall-E, This film was really good. The fact that the beggining told a story without much dialog was fantastic, the message itself within the movie is great. Sound was owesome and its going to be eye candy when it hits bd. 10/10.

p.s. I love your rating of the film....lol...good laugh....

1. Indiana - Decent movie, never seen the others so i have nothing to compare to, the ending was a little too out there for me but ill give it - 8/10
2. Iron Man - If there was such a thing as a perfect movie this would be it. I had low expectations going in as i really never got into iron man as a kid or ever for that matter but this movie was badass - 10/10

and actually thats all the summer flicks i've seen, on my to-do list is (most likely i will only rent these):
Kung Fu Panda
The Love Guru (i dont care what people say myers is awesome)
Wanted
Hancock
Get Smart

Indiana Jones - Good movie. captured as much of the feel of the old ones as I ever would have expected. more cgi than I'd have liked... little too much Lucas in the mix, but I still enjoyed it. 7/10.

The Happening - Honestly the worst film I've ever seen in theatres, maybe ever period. 2/10 because at least I was laughing at it.

Iron Man - Damn good comic book movie though I'm not sure it tops Spiderman2/Xmen2/Batman Begins. 7/10.

still haven't seen wall-e or hancock. didn't want to se hulk.

**Hancock (only because I got a free pass from a student of mine) - 3/10. I thought it was horrible!!! Will Smith might just be the most overrated actor in history. Blah!

**Indy -6/10. It was ok. Now, I have never been a huge Ford or Indy fan, but it was watchable. Definitely wouldn't buy it.

**Speed Racer - 0/10. Talk about the worst movie in history. This thing sucked!!! Emile Hirsch is soooo much better than what he was in this movie. It was a train wreck.

**Wanted - 8.5/10. It was really entertaining. A lot of action. McAvoy was really good in it, as was Jolie. There was everything...drama, suspense, action, and eye candy.

**Iron Man - 4/10. I know tons of people loved it. It was just ok for me. Nothing spectacular. I am firmly planted against Iron Man and Superman movies. My favorite comic movies are Batman movies, Spiderman, and Xmen.

**What Happen in Vegas - 7/10. I like Ashton and Cameron Diaz a lot. It was cheesy...it was typical, but it was entertaining.

Iron Man: 8/10 - Great superhero movie, not on the level of Batman Begins (10/10), just under X-2 and S-2 which didn't have to deal with genesis. If your character isn't capable of a Batman Begins type movie, this is an example of what you should be shooting for.

Hulk: 7/10 - Good superhero movie, didn't do anything wrong and served the story it had to tell. I don't think you could ask anything else of this movie, recognizing that the Hulk is not a character that will get you a Batman Begins caliber movie.

Wall-E: 9/10 - Great movie as far as animation movies go, irresistably cute. The robot stuff was great, but the message plot line with the humans, while tolerable, is a bit bland and probably going to grow tiresome with multiple viewings.

Wanted: 6/10 - Whatever, it wasn't bad but this is a movie that functions solely on Angelina Jolie's body. If not for her I don't think it would have much redeeming value beyond being yet another over the top shooting people movie. There's no depth in it like there was in the model over the top shooting people movie, The Matrix.

Kung-Fu Panda: 7/10 - Not as cute as Wall-E, but this movie has a plot which is a bit more friendly to multiple viewings. I'm not saying it's better than Wall-E, I'm just using it to express my one issue with Wall-E's story.

Indiana Jones: 6/10 - Better than Temple of Doom, worse than the other two. This movie has the same issues that the Star Wars prequels did, George Lucas abandoned what made the original movies great and gave us what he thought we should want. With this movie I've about had it with Lucas, I have no interest in his work now. I couldn't recommend this movie to anyone unless you got serious OCD issues regarding sets, especially since Last Crusade ties thing up quite nicely.

Get Smart: 7/10 - This movie was substantially better than I thought it would be. As far as non animated themed comedies go this summer, I could recommend this one. Not the best movie ever or anything, but if you want to laugh and you like James Bond/etc then here you go.

* Kung-Fu Panda - cute, funny, good movie overall.

*WALL-E - It was really well done, great animation, they may have pushed the message with the humans a bit more then they needed to, but the robot parts were grand.

* Get Smart - Very funny, I haven't seen the original show, but this was a very good movie, much funnier then I thought it would be when I went to see it.

* Indy 4 - I thought it was a fairly good movie. I'll agree that its not nearly as good as Raiders or Crusade, but still it wasn't bad. I'll also agree that I think Lucas had a bit too much of a hand in it with all the CGI, but still I think it was a good movie.

* Wanted - Its an action movie, some of the effects where really amazing to watch, but it felt like it lacked something. Yes, it was very over the top. I enjoyed seeing it, thought I feel that it wouldn't be worth seeing again.

* Iron Man - This was an awesome movie! I would say that it is the best movie I've seen this summer and perhaps the best I've seen this year.

* The Happening - I liked this one and I didn't like it. It was alright, it felt like they really rushed the story. But I still think that it should have been a lot better then it was.

*Chronicles of Narina - It was a good movie, if you enjoyed the first one and read the books its worth seeing. If not, then its probably worth passing up.

Wanted - 9/10 Great action, please give me a sequel.

Iron Man- 9/10 Genuinely terrific movie. Only the best get 10 from me but 9 is a huge accomplishment.

Hulk- 8/10 I really wanna see Norton's cut.

Prince Caspian- 7/10 A little slow but once the finale starts I enjoyed it a lot.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - 8/10 I know not a summer movie but I saw it at a second run theatre a couple weeks ago.

Get Smart - I was pleasantly surprised. I thought Steve Carrell did very well, as did Dwayne Johnson and Anne Hathaway. I thought the two gadget guys were forced into the movie... The film was entertaining, nonetheless. Quite a few funny moments. 7/10

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - I got what I expected with this one, and I didn't expect much. Harrison Ford is too old, the screenplay had too many forced jokes, there was too much CGI, when it wasn't necessary (okay, killer ants... we get it). I wasn't pleased with Shia Labouf's character, or acting of it. I also thought Cate Blanchett's accent was just way over the top. 4/10

Ironman - 9.5/10 - I'm a big marvel comic fan and I really enjoyed this movie. Great intro story for a super hero. Some good laughs. Good action scenes. Awesome cast. The cast is what puts this one over the top for me. They actually seem like human beings. Highly reccomended

Prince Caspian - 7/10 - Never read the book (figured I'd better say that first). Overall, I enjoyed this movie more than I thought I would and much more than Lion, Witch, Wardrobe. This movie was surprisingly funny and contained a lot more violence than I thought could pass for its rating. I really displike the actors who play the children though. Rent it (It should be a nice Blu)

Indiana Jones 4 - 7.5/10 - I have no problem with the
[Show spoiler]Alien aspect of this movie
. I did, however, have a big issue the with fridge scene and the monkey/vine scene. Still a fun flick and I still felt like it was Indiana Jones. Don't understand people's hatred for this movie. See it, but be prepared if you're a long-time Indy fan and remember that all of them we weird in their own right.

Speed Racer - 8.5/10 - Simply stunning. It's a great film (I don't care what anyone says). Super intense, campy, and a real visual feast. Very different from your average film though and won't appeal to everyone. I can't imagine any fans of (non-violent) anime or chimpanzees not enjoying this. Rent it (only because so many are split on whether they like it or not)

Wanted - 6/10 - Throwaway story and not enough action to make up for it. And since when is Morgan Freeman Samuel Jackson? I went into this expecting the story to be non-existent and the action to be over the top. I was not expecting a completely ludacris story (which isn't even taken from the comic it's based on) that they try to pan off as important and semi-realistic. Rent Shoot 'Em Up instead.

Hancock - 9/10 - Not your average superhero movie by any means, and don't go in expecting it to be. Go in expecting an action packed drama and you'll come out very pleased. The performances are superb as well. There were just a few plot points I felt were left out unnessecarily though, and I think I would have preferred a slightly altered ending. Recommended

Note - The ratings I'm using are really just to differentiate between the different movies this summer. They aren't necessarily where I'd rate them compared to all other movies

Speed Racer-5.5/10 I enjoyed the visual effects and what not, it was entertaining, but I really have no need to ever watch it again due to the horrid plot and a couple jokes/gags that were cringe worthy.

Zohan-7/10 it was funny, and I like Adam Sandler, not as good as Chuck and Larry, but it was still pretty good and funny. But not worth buying, maybe I'll rent it

Wall-e-9/10 I really enjoyed it! One of my favorite Pixar movies, and really the only movie I've seen this summer that in my opinion is going to be worth a purchase on bluray.
