Nice for some people. I wouldn't use it, though.

I think the casual movie watcher might like this but the hardcore movie fan will always want the case, artwork, disc & extra features.

Plus you'll find people asking why they can only store so many movies and complaining they need to buy an external HDD or new internal HDD to store more movies on.

Anyone see this as a form of cannibalization on Sony's part? Digital rentals (assuming they'll just be rentals) vs. Blu-Ray?

Or is this just Sony's way of saying that you can have it both ways?

I'll bet the quality will be WAAAY above iTunes, but I wonder how the pricing will compare. I don't think I would use it unless it was cheap and it was a 'long wait' movie on Netflix or something like that.

Any news on what the quality will be like? (I know that's a very general question...but come on)

Does anyone know the pricing. I would never buy a downloaded movie unless the price is hella chealer than a hard copy. (Which it should be, since they don't have to pay for packaging, hardware, and shipping).

I think that itunes is downright a ripoff, and if this service is similar it will also be a ripoff. I can usually find a hard copy of a full cd cheaper than what itunes offers, plus I'll always have an original copy when my computer crashes.

I love my ipod, but the itunes store is ruining the industry.

Looking at the pic Shin Ra posted some of them will be $5.99. More than likely they'll flucuate in price though.
