Personally, I think May. May tends to set the tone for the summer when it comes to releases, movies either need to meet or exceed the box office numbers set by those movies to be a *blockbuster*. Then the rest of the months it's either 'made it' or a 'flop'.

May of 2003 gave us X2: X-Men United and May of 2008 gave us Iron Man, and look what happened for both movies!

I don't get out to the theaters much any more, but I'd say May (to kick off season) or July- as it just seems so many come out during that month that I tend to want to see.
