4Q, no f'n way! it took new line cinema a month to figure out pip for shoot'em up. if it takes 9 months for warner to "work out the details" for pip on blu-ray they can keep the matrix. matrix, batman begins, and V for vendetta should be on there "fast track". 4Q is not a "fast track". it just gives hd dvd guys more time to gloat and joke about "when are you guys getting matrix... blah, blah, blah".

IF blu-ray will be the successor to dvd then they must up the content production. seriously, it's a joke so far. Fox release quota is a joke. I like wallstreet, me, myself, and irene, battle of britain, mrs doubtfire, ect....but they aren't going to be big sellers. if we are going to get the vast majority of dvd owners to start buying blu then some of the big films need to come out. if content is king then bda needs to step it up.

But marketing is all about creating a "buzz". If you shoot your wad all at once, you lose your audience. Look how Disney uses the "vault" concept to roll out their classic titles. It keeps people coming back for more...checking back in to find out your next move will be. A marketer's job is to create a healthy kind of addiction (and sometimes not....gambling, porn). You get the idea.

The Matrix was the first movie I bought on DVD and it's too bad it couldn't be the first movie I bought on Blu-ray Disc. Instead, that honor goes to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. But The Matrix is my flagship movie and I really look forward to the BD release.

Wow, you are the first person ever to find the search function and not start a new Matrix thread in the forums. I think we should give this guy a prize, I suggest The Matrix and Batman Begins on blu-ray when they come out.

It is nice to have you here.

I'll just wait for a complete encode not a direct encode from the dead format.
