Default Simpsons movie question

Is there a noticable difference between the dvd and Bluray version of this movie? Seeing as it is a cartoon, it doesn't seem like it would be a substantial difference to justify buying the BD version. I recently bought this movie on amazon on bluray anyway though, i have faith that blu will shine!

There is more detail on the blu-ray, what I mean is the colors just have more pop. I don't know but are the newer season of the show in HD? God that would be expensive boxset on blu-ray 20+ seasons.

The contrast on the BD is better than you can get just tuning your TV?

I thought i heard that the BD gets better color treatment... Maybe I did.

I'm quite postive that the show is still produced in SD, and that it's just upscaled for showings on FOX HD.

Anything animated, including Pixar films but to a much lesser extent, lacks the detail of live-action movies. However, with animated films, colors are much more vibrant and these bright colors are always contrasted against black outlines. Animated BD's take better advantage of more accurate colors and blacker blacks than live-action.

Personally, I regret buying The Simpsons Movie on BD, but it's not because of the PQ. I actually love the PQ. I just think the movie is awful.

Well, I'm a Simpson's fan but not a fan of the last few seasons. The show used to be good, but now it seems like they're trying WAY too hard, and it's just way over the top. Homer's stupidity made him funny, but now they just made him WAY too stupid and it's just not funny anymore. The show was so much better ten years ago. Family Guy is much better.

Not everyone will agree with me, but that's how I feel about the TV show. As for the movie, the movie is the same thing, but it's twice as bad in this respect.
