Default Newbie Question - Onkyo 606 audio delays?

I am looking into getting a sound system with a budget of ~$1000. I've pretty much settled on the Mirage nanosat speakers. I'm still debating on the receiver, mostly between the Onkyo 606 and the Yamaha 663. I was leaning towards the Yamaha, but with the Onkyo being on sale (and having more HDMI inputs), I'm reconsidering.

I remember reading somewhere that there are audio delay issues with the Onkyo, especially with video gaming. Right now, my PS3 is both my blu-ray player and my gaming console. I'm just wondering if how many Onkyo owners has noticed audio delays, since audio cues are kind of important in games. Thanks!

I have one thats a couple years older now and ive never had an issue. I know there is a setting to fix Sync on the onkyo's, if its teh same thing we are talking about..

Never heard about that, never had it on my PS3/Xbox 360/Wii and Onkyo 605. Even if I did, there's a setting you can change to reduce any input lag. I would say it's not a factor. However the Yamaha 663 is supposed to be an excellent receiver as well (I mean, lookit the DACS!) so I don't think you can go wrong either way.
