That distortion noise comes from the camera mic, not the sub.

That looks like a car sub... which means it's likely going to be pretty garbage for an HT system (different design characteristics). That thing is most likely got some terrible SQ -- judging by the video it seems like the person only cares about SPL (I wouldn't be surprised if it does sound like garbage in person -- much of that distortion is going to be from the mic, but I'd bet anything it sounds terrible). Low frequency noise != good sub.

You can do much better for the same price if you look for a driver that's designed to go in an HT rather than a car.

That is not a home theater component and anyone that wants one does not understand home theater.
