When ordering from an overseas amazon or overseas marketplace seller, how likely is it for the order to get examined by customs or delayed by customs or getting stuck with having to pay for the examination done by customs? It's not illegal to import is it? (I'm in the U.S.). Will the amazon logo make it sail through customs? How much is the fee/delay?

I've ordered alot from Amazon in the UK, with some orders in excess of $100 or so and I've yet to hit with any customs charges. The orders normally take 5-7 business days (I live in between two airports which probably speeds it up), but I think the Amazon logo and declaration on the label probably does push it along a little quicker, as packages from my folks in the UK regularly take longer to arrive.

i have ordered thousands of dollars from the UK, Germany and as long as they ship usps there is no customs. Now UPS is ridiculous and will charge you a percentage, why I dont know. I guess its greed
