Try reading the reviews.

I wouldn't characterize any of those movies as "old".

If those movies are old, then Close Encounters, Godfather, and Blazing Saddles must date from the formation of the Earth, roughly 4.6 (I think) billion years ago. And Gremal up there must be an Australopithecus. I can probably date from the medieval era,

The PQ on the Mummy movies is incredible, and MIB is as well. Unsure about the Lost Boys.

Lost Boys is over 20 years old. So yes, it is kind of old.
No need to tear him apart with your high-brow attitudes.

Jeez, no kidding.

Out of that list the only one I've seen is the first Mummy. It's a great disc, looks like it could've been shot in the last couple of years. Still not the biggest fan of the film, but if you like it I think you'd be pleased.

There really is no need for this thread regardless. The OP needs to refer to this:

I've made no comments about your mental status. Merely your inability find humor in an obvious joke and your decision to get red-assed about it in not only one, but three different threads.

Good link. Older films all have great potential on Blu-ray, some even moreso than more recent releases. You just have to be careful with them, since some of the studios get a little heavy-handed with "enhancements" such as DNR and edge enhancement.

I can veryify that Lost Boys and The Mummy are amazing upgrades, leaps and bounds over the quality of the DVDs.

I agree with "U Nick" (I like that name); I have the Mummy series in both DVD and Blu-ray. The Blu-ray version blows the DVD out of the water. Great video and audio. I haven't seen the other two flicks in Blu-ray yet.
