edit: I don't have a great display, but to me The Adventures of Robin Hood looks pretty smashing.

Casablanca... I was completely amazed how well it looked and I expected it to look bad considering it's 66 years old...

Have to agree with everything mentioned already.

20 Million miles to earth was also pretty good looking (color and b/w versions), if you're a Harryhausen fan.

I'd throw A Nightmare on Elm Street into the mix as well... was really blown away by the transfer, especialy for such a low budget film. Someone kept the negatives in great shape.

Close Encounters. I can already see people complaining about the grain.

I Know, and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer were both great quality movies for being made in the late 90's.

I found the Warriors PQ to be quite amazing. I felt like it was a current movie with really good 70's costume design.

Top Gun isn't all that old, but compared to the DVD it looked excellent, I couldn't belive the amazing sound avalible on that Blu Ray, I belive it sounded better than some recent movies. But to be fair a lot of the movies I was refering to were Warner Brothers releases with unexceptable Dolby Digital only soundtracks, which in this day and age is absolutly BS.
