Default BD-Live login password

Is there anyway of retrieving a forgotten BD-Live account password. I created an account when using the BD-Live features of Transformers but unfortunately forgot the password I used. I can still use the live features on this disc as login info was saved.

Now trying to login with Iron Man disc using the same user-id. I assume it is the same as for the other disc (otherwise having the create a seperate account for every DB-live disc you have would be REALLY STUPID!!!), but having forgotten the password have not been unable to do so.
Point 1 - there appears to be no way to retrieve passwords, or is there??
Point 2 - if a login can be remembered for one disc, why would this not work across other discs?
Point 3 - why doesn't the text entry interface not work with keyboard ?

Thanks for any help.

Sorry to slightly derail the thread but I just want to know one question.
what do you get when you create a BD-live account? I was watching Transformers on my PS3 and I decided to give the BD-l a try, and with this I could download all these features. but there is also a screen where you login or create a login I was wondering if you get more if you do this.

It is my understanding that each studio has their own BD-Live login requirements. I cannot confirm that because I have not tried any myself but I am sure that there are a few threads on this board which address this issue.

You do not need to log-in or register for Sony, Paramount, and Walt Disney BD-Live features unless you plan to participate in social networking features.

I.E. For Iron Man, you don't need to log in if you just want to play the selected scenes In-Movie quiz. [I[You do need[/I] to log in if you want to make a custom quiz for everyone to play.

Universal and Warner Brothers do require you to register for access to movie specific features. BD-Live is not on one server and it is not a shared log-in between releases from different studios.

That means, when you register for Universal; you also have to register seperately with a different account for Warner Brothers. You can not use the same log-ins for movies from different studios, only for releases from the same studio.

I.E. Once registered for Universal, you use the same log-in for all Universal BDs. Once registered for Warner Brothers, you use the same log-in for all Warner Brotthers BDs.

There is a password retrieval available on the disc or through the studio's website.

Please let us know where we can use this password retrieval on the Transformers disc.

THIS IS ONLY FOR PARAMOUNT BD-LIVE DISCS.

-YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REGISTER IF YOU ONLY WANT TO VIEW FEATURES.-

From the Blu-ray Disc:

1. Select User Login on the BD-Live menu page.

2. Select New Account.

3. You can now retrieve/reset your BD-Live account

From the Internet:

Thanks for the link.

But for me, this is just one big joke. If I put in my user name to retrieve my password, the system tells me that the user name is not registered. If I try to register a new account with that user name, the system tells me that the user name is already taken.

And, of course, there's no "contact us" link on that page.

After performing an internet Whois (of paramountbluray.com) at internic.net, I was referred to markmonitor.com. So, I performed a Whois on MarkMonitor.com and it came up with the site admin e-mail address of website_contact@paramount.com. So, I'm going to send them an e-mail and see if they can help. All this just so I can log in to the Paramount BD-Live. Obviously, they need to get better at their implementation of BD-Live. On top of this, I have viewed over 200 (possibly over 300) Blu-Ray discs and the ONLY time my PS3 has locked up when attempting to play a BD is when Paramount's discs include BD-Live...Transformers and Iron Man. It's really embarassing when you're trying to show your friends how cool those movies look and the PS3 freezes up. And thats just when you insert the disc. NOT when attempting to access the BD-Live features. I found that, in order to view the new BD-Live content on Transformers, I had to go into the special BD Data folder on the PS3 and delete the Transformers data. Lame.

Also, I am fully aware that logging in is not required to view the special features of Transformers. I am going through all of this trouble just on principle. If they're going to offer something, support it. I'm sure, in the future, Paramount will make use of BD-Live in such a way that will require one to log in.

Wow. You didn't have to be jerk about this or even go about doing all that Whois seach. If you simply just went one level up to www.paramountbluray.com, you would have found the [B}SUPPORT[/B} link.

Click on that and scroll down to the bottom for link to Paramount's technical support form.

Here it is so you do not have to Wolfram Alpha it: Paramount Technical Support

I didn't know I was being a jerk about it. I'll have you know that I DID go one level up and clicked on the support link. I read all of the FAQs and there was no place for contacting them. I guess I missed this form you're refering too.

Edit: Okay, I see it now. I thought that information was a continuation of the Blu-Ray Player Manufactures section. Thanks for the info. Sorry if you thought I was being "jerky" about it. If anything, Paramount should do a better job of either making this thing work flawlessly or making their contact information a little easier to find.

Unfortunately, for a while its going to be a lot of "ping ponging" customers until Blu-ray gets a better footing and the players are mostly all the same profile. Right now, with firmware updates and the myriad of players with different profiles and different hardware implementations, its going to be hard for studios to say its their fault.

Thankfully, some companies like Tai Seng have been good enough to test check discs on different players to ensure near uniform compatibility. One thing to try if you really are having problems with Paramount discs (because the two titles you mentioned do not stream the content, rather its all stored locallly) is to clear the BD storage drive. Then try it again, this fixes a lot of issues as the data can get "wonky" when its being accessed so many times.

I got an e-mail back about 48 hours later saying that they were going to help me. Never received anything after that. Poor poor support.

I ran into the identical situation. I tried two different account names and two different e-mail addresses. In all cases, the account/e-mail both existed and didn't exist. Thanks to the later poster who shared the Support link, I submitted a "Help me out of this logic loop" request. With luck, they'll service my request to either reset or delete my (supposed) account so I can proceed.

I ran into this problem the other night with WB as I was gonna check out Dark Knight BD live stuff and couldn't remember my password. I went to their website and did the forgot password. It sent me an email with a link saying to use the link and reset your password. Problem is when using the link it takes you to a page that says is no longer available. This is really pissing me off.

I did the support thing TWICE and NEVER got a single response. Let me know if you get better results.

My exact experience. I wonder if there is a disconnect between "Paramount Dreamworks" discs and "Paramount" discs. I had previously set up an account through the Iron Man Blu-Ray, then tried to access the BD-Live features of Tropic Thunder, and got into this cycle of login / password / forgot ID / forget password heck.

I emailed "support@paramountbluray.com" and DIDN'T get a bounce message...
