Question Best Panasonic Plasma?

Of these which is best?

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...68&catid=23526

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...33&catid=23526

Also,

-Are there other 1080p Panny plasmas better or worth mentioning?
- Is panasonic the best plasma besides the pioneer kuro?

Also,

- Is panasonic the best plasma besides the pioneer kuro?
You betcha

You really can't go wrong with any of those. Unless you define what "Best" means to you - there's no way to tell you which one would be best for you. Compare the specs and features of each one and weigh those against your budget.

Unless you go for a Pioneer - those are all the best on the market.

Out of all of those you posted, i think the TH50PZ800 is a killer tv.
But you can find a Pioneer KURO PDP5020F for around the same price or less.

sweden dont have 50 inch of pz85 so i took 46 inch instead...i run the tv maximum 3 hours the i rest it for 20 minutes...i had a fat tv before this..and i expect flat tvs to be bad before i see this.. i have seen some lcd before this plasma..but plasma tvs is much better in colors. i run hdmi cables and component..and the picture on star wars III...2 disc edition is amazing on dvd
who needs bluray if you see that awsome quality..but its a good tv..you will not be dissapointed if you buy pz85 or pz800..its shit that sweden not have many hdtv channels..i wish i lived in usa instead hehe...good luck with your buy...please tell me later if you buy one..if youre happy

I have a ISF calibrated 50" 85u, its a great tv with excellent blacks and looks awesome calibrated.

The 800u would be my recommendation if you dont plan on calibrating because the THX mode offers very good color adjustments.

Dont expect better blacks with the 800, because its the same as the 85u.

TomHuffman, an ISF calibrator on AVS, owns a 85u and has compared it to a 800u.

You either got a lemon, or you seriously messed up the break-in period.

I would recommend the 800pzu... I have the 750 and its fantastic. Panasonic is quality across the board.

Whatever you choose, I'm sure you will enjoy for years.

I was thinking about those 3 tv's also in 42" and was set on the th42pz800B but read that the UK version doesnt have THX mode.

is it still worth paying the extra £300 for that or should I just pick one of the others listed above?

thought I might as well ask in hear rather than making a new thread up.

thanks

Yea you are basically paying more for the THX mode so if it doesnt have it then go for the same tv which is basically the 85u

I think I'm gonna go tomorrow to get either the 46" 85u or the 50" 85u. I haven't decided whether I wanna spend $300 more for 4 more inches.

It really bothers me that people say this... the Panasonic 800U has been said to have better color realism than the Pioneers, and the Pioneers are simply the best mainstream brand... brands like Runco make better displays, just most of us can't afford them

i think it's not the colors but the 24hz as opposed to 60hz processing they're referring to... I know the 800/850 do 24 but they blink or something to where it's not worth having it on that setting.

By the way, what is Runco?
