Protective Coating? - Blu-ray Forum

do either one of these discs have this? HDDVD or Bluray?

Ofcourse.
HD DVD comes with the DVD coating (or is it stronger? it should be, a high density disc with DVD coating won't be reliable)
While BD has a strong coating compared to other coatings in the past.
For recordables, the TDK Durabis coating should be able to survive an attack with a screwdriver, so if you'll threat your discs well they should be out of danger.

i take great care of my discs but i would love a durable disc to roll out!
