Can't wait to see this blu. Definitely going to be a popular addition to blu-ray collections in North American and world.

I've watched Hellboy I so many times.

I don't really care for IGN's Blu-ray reviews, they always highlight grain in a negative manner. By the time I'm done reading I am reminded that the review is coming from a gaming site... I don't put much weight behind them. I'm waiting for trusted reviewers such as Ralph Potts over at AVSForum. Don't get me wrong, this is worth a read... I'm sure this will looks good considering first Hellboy looked great but the comment about the movie being grainless has me worried that DNR may have been applied. Guillermo Del Toro seems to film his movies with grain intact.. I may be over analyzing things but I don't eat the hype until I read several reviews.. I can't wait for more!

One thing is for sure, the sound will be off the hook.. the first Hellboy sounded amazing!

The reviewer has probably never even seen the movie. IGN has the WORST DVD/BD reviews out there.

I have to echo the worthlessness of IGN reviews. I'm sure this disc will look and sound fantastic but take my advice and ignore IGN reviews.

Nope. I believe DNR was used on Pan's Labyrinth, A Del Toro movie. That film still looked frickin' amazing though.

Default Just Outstanding

http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film2/DVDRe...my_blu-ray.htm

"One of the better comic-to-film adaptations in recent years, Hellboy II gets a solid transfer to video, and can stand alongside Universal's own Incredible Hulk in every department. The Extras are of great interest, but poorly imaged. Even so, highly recommended"

Audio fabulous
"Once you have your playback volume set to a nominal level for dialogue, make sure the neighbors are invited or not at home. This is one rock 'em, sock 'em DTS HD-MA mix. Once again, we are granted the high definition audio analog to what Blu-ray was born for. The name of the game here is: scale, weight, and dynamic nuance - and Hellboy II has all of them. Dialogue is clear focused and located correctly. The surrounds are all engaged with directional cues that will make you duck for cover. "

Good to see one more review but keep in mind the reviewer sits far away from his 42" 720p when he does reviews. Hardly the right equipment/viewing distance for reviewing purposeses. Even upconverted material looks fine on a screen of that size. The bigger the screensize the more apparent video problems become. I'm not doubting it looks good, just keep that in mind... Just a FYI

That's a matter of opinion. It has be a highly debated all over the net... one this IS for sure, the non-DNR'd (import) in even better visually! Most everyone can agree on that. I personally only seen screenshots and from what I can see, the DNR wasn't terribly overdone (again, matter of opinion)

I don't get what people see in these movies. I thought the first one was okay, but Hellboy II was dreadful.

Don't make me go through your collection and rip on some of your titles..... such as Harry Potter . lol People like 'em because they like 'em, why question it? For a person who watches comic films, I would think you understand the interest in 'em. But guess not.
