While the trailer certainly looks good, I seem to remember the teasers for 10,000 BC and Godzilla looking good too, and we all know how THAT turned out.

Yeah, exactly. That we would shift into a new paradigm of evolution in consciousness. This movie is just another excuse to load up on a bunch of apocalyptic special effects

looks stupid. Whats with Roland and giant walls of water? Did they have left over effects from The Day After Tomorrow?

They have been talking about the end times since the beginning of time. And we are still here. Perhaps when half the world lies in wait under a rock, I can run off and take a cheap vacation somewhare. At least I will know I won't have to deal with waiting in long lines. I have been hoping for a popcorn flick to better the 1953 H. G. Wells classic, War of the Worlds. But I'm not sure 2012 will even get as far as the 2005 Tom Cruise/Steven Spielberg version. I forcast another rental in my future.

My forcast was wrong. While I do not go for the B acting, the abundant special effects are too much to pass up. It is on my to buy list. High fuel prices will likely put an X on my plans for the cheap vacation, so I will stay home and watch the movie instead.

Back to 2012

A) he's like the kid burping at the table with "Day After Tomorrow" Socially-Relevant Eco-Scares, or
