lol
That was what I thought, I actually knew
[Show spoiler]he would die pretty early on, I actually thought he would die by sacrificing himself in a perilous situation, but no it was just a convient accident.

Anyways, I thought the picture looked like it had a "documentary look", anybody else agree?
I have a plasma btw, with none of that 120hz crap or whatever it is called.

One thing more, the Blu-ray had an update for my PS3, I thought only games had that.
Gave me a new PS3 logo, new start up music and a glittering background. lol

Does anybody know what the Target exclusive version of this film has that the Amazon one does not? I'm wondering if it's really worth the extra $10.

The Flood Story

The Epic of Gilgamesh, Tablet XI
"I will reveal to you, Gilgamesh, a thing that is hidden, a secret of the gods I will tell you!...The hearts of the Great Gods moved them to inflict the Flood...O man of Shuruppak, son of Ubartutu: Tear down the house and build a boat! Abandon wealth and seek living beings! Spurn possessions and keep alive living beings! Make all living beings go up into the boat. The boat which you are to build, its dimensions must measure equal to each other: its length must correspond to its width.

Greek
"Bereft of Prometheus' guidance, men and women grew so wicked that Jupiter sent a great flood which destroyed them all, except one good man, Deucalion, a son of Prometheus, and one good woman, Pyrrha, a daughter of Epimetheus. These two were preserved as being fit to live. The flood submerged all earth except Mount Olympus, where the gods lived, and Mount Parnassus, where Deucalion and Pyrrha found shelter" - Public Book Shelf

KJV
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

lol. I can put in four new ones where three old DVD's would fit. I hope this is not a trend or something as I saw others that way too. I don't want to add to the closet, only my collection.

How do they come from Amazon?

Anyone else find that this movie takes a long time to load in their blu-ray player? I also think this movie was far better than Day after Tomorrow simply because Dennis Quaid was not in it.

This movie Sucked with a capital S.
I went into the theater without knowing who the director was and half way through the movie, I said this gotta be The Day After Tomorrow director.
Once I got home I checked and it was lol.

In February I was in Chile when the earthquake happened and I remembered 2010, lol no one can outrun a volcano or a cracking ground. I know its a movie but come on.

We all have opinions which is cool. I really enjoyed this movie with it's great action and effects and very funny as well. Woody Harrelson totally made that movie funny as hell. Effects and sound was top notch. Alot better than some other movies I've seen.

I enjoyed it. IMO it has good replay value. I just wish towards the ending that
[Show spoiler]they reduced the amount of time spent on that closing door!

Quite frankly I hated the stepdad. Why did the kids idolize him? All he did was complain about the wife being stupid enough to marry Cusack and then puss out when he was the only one capable of flying the plane. And why was Cusack's son so convinced that Cusack hated him? The stepdad was the one doing all of the complaining. The only real characterization that they gave this guy was that he was a plastic surgeon who worked on the Russian's bimbo wife and that he likes to complain.

The only thing that I found entertaining here, aside from Cusack's ability to outrun erupting volcanoes, was the WTF-ness of Woody Harrelson's performance, which feels less like he's playing a character in the movie than he got stoned and wandered onto the set.

I just picked up the 2 disc version for $14 and I have to say that this movie has some amazing PQ and AQ. The actual story was alright but the destruction was fantastic. If only for the demo material, this movie has some pretty solid replay value.

[Show spoiler]by cutting out the Presidents daughter and the scientist guy and showed the landing in Africa

I hated the movie the first time I saw it. But on a re-watch I actually found it a little more decent. Of course, it does help that the movie I saw before it was Transformers 2...

I watched in on StarzHD and correct aspect ratio could not of helped this movie. I kept watching the clock to see how much time was left. It was like Armageddon times 10. One bad thing after another, after a while it was just so tedious to see some last second, by your chin hairs escape after another.
