Default Problems with 5.1 Channels Output

Hi gang

I am trying to use the 5.1 channels output of my Sony Blu-ray BDP S500 in my Nakamichi AV8 5.1 Receiver using the 5.1 Input . I get an outstanding sound but I get no volume control and the sound is way to loud. I turn down the volume of my receiver to zero with no results.

Anyone of you have experienced this problem before and found a way to bypass this volume problem?

Thanks a bunch!

I can't find a manual for your receiver, but from listening to your problem - it sounds that your 5.1 input is not that at all - it's a pre-out for the connection of external power amps (that's why you can't control the volume).
