I honestly can't say as I haven't had a chance to really go through everything yet. So I would defer to cakefactory's post above.

Also, how about Monster Club and also From A Whisper To A Scream? Are these: 1) any good? 2) do these feature much of Price... or is it pretty small roles? Thanks!

small roles in both with the latter only in the opening and closing book-ends of the film.

Monster Club is cheesy as all get-out, with average at best stories and a particularly obnoxious habit of wasting time with groan-inducing "filler" of an awful pop band in a night club to pad the running time....you really have to see it to believe it!

From A Whisper To A Scream offers more memorable stories but it's a truly nasty piece of work that I was always surprised that Price appeared in! My guess is that he didn't realize now distasteful the stories played out when he signed the dotted line.

Neither film is "good" in my opinion but being a shameless horror fan typically doesn't stop me from adding mediocre genre flicks to my collection!!

Anyone know if those ARROW releases posted above are the only Vincent Price available from ARROW right now?

Man, from hearing about the overall extra's being better all around than the Scream Vol.'s, it really makes me think about finally investing in a region-free player...

From what I've read, he really regretted doing it.

I've got it on a double feature DVD with Theatre of Blood, and while it's enjoyable enough (in that nasty 80s horror movie kind of way), it's certainly the lesser of the two films.

We've covered Horror and Drama, but no discussion of Price films would be complete without mentioning the Comedies. He gives great comedic performances in CHAMPAGNE FOR CAESAR (one of the funniest movies ever made!) and HIS KIND OF WOMAN.

And I would add 2 more Dramas: WHALES OF AUGUST, and EVE OF ST MARKS (one of his daughter Victoria's favorites).

Price plays quite a small role in this, he's only in a couple of scenes in the end of the film. He plays a mad scientist character, who would've guessed But the film itself is highly enjoyable mix of cop comedy, action and zombie horror. Bad humour, lots of action and neat special effects.

Price is awesome in GOLDFOOT too.

Also, don't forget his tour de force as EGGY-BABY!

Sadly, Dead Heat is still in my unwatched stack. Soon...

Whales of August (1987) with Vincent Price and Bette Davis was just announced today. I've added it to the first post.

I caught part of this movie on TCM awhile back... will be good to watch the entire thing on Blu.

I was also wondering this.

From the Blu-ray summary review, it sounds like Price has a significant role.

I traded in some stuff at my local movie chain and picked up War-Gods of the Deep. I always held off buying it due to...well, it's clearly one of Price's much lesser roles.

But, the underwater setting is actually so different from all his other movies, it's kinda fun and cool. Plus, the sea creatures resemble Creature From the Black Lagoon.

Poor War-Gods of the Deep... I don't even think it ever got its own thread here lol.

This is on my "to buy" list, but I haven't gotten it yet.

I think The Great Owl has it. Maybe he can chime in (unless it's in that pile of unwatched Blu's with DEAD HEAT)

It's really good fun brain left at the door stuff, and Price lights it up whenever he's on screen.

A bit late to the conversation, but The Monster Club is brilliant IMO. You either get it or you don't I suppose. It is very cheesy but isn't meant to be taken seriously. You get a mix of stories, some with lots of humour and the last one is more serious horror.

Has anybody mentioned THE FLY (1958)? Nice color and widescreen, and it ends with a notorious "gross-out" scene that was pretty intense stuff for 1958.

It's included in the first post of this thread. I always liked The Fly (1958 version). Especially like the "help me!" line

I just saw this today at my local Midwest chain store... I remembered it from this thread and picked it up off the shelf and started reading the back. I'm a sucker for the physical media cases. I came close to blind-buying it... but my trade-in credit at this store wasn't enough for it. Maybe next time!
