Default Should Fox Be Punished For Price Fixing And Poor Product Quality

I don't know about any one else but i think it's about time someone sorted fox out. There Blu-Rays are well over priced and the quality of the majority of there releases are poor in quality.

There are laws of trading standards and i think Fox has broken a few of them with Blu-Ray. What do you guys think.

No, they're probably my favorite studio although I do wish they were pushing the envelope a little more like Disney, Universal, etc. I'm fine with the price and I'm happy with the majority of their releases (picture and sound wise).

I actually can't think of a lot of poor Fox releases, usually they rank among my favorite in PQ and AQ, actually. What exactly are these trading standards? Would these not apply to Criterion and their pricing structure?

Their pricing could be better but I've been pretty satisfied
with the quality of their releases.

Usually the film's AQ & PQ are just fine. I have issues with the price, lack of extras ported over, lack of exclusive content and lack of incentive offered to buyers. Disney is at least offering either $10 back if you already own the film on DVD, or giving you a bonus DVD copy of a film. Most other companies offer exclusive content, and normally port over all previous extras (except in lots of Lionsgate titles, and select Universal ones).

I'm holding off on buying any Fox titles. So far I only have Young Frankenstein (which had excl. content) & Street Kings since their presentations were actually very good.

No. Fox has a great vault of films, and their Blu-ray releases have been just fine. There's very little to complain about.

Planet of the Apes (original) $17.35. PQ 4.5, AQ 5

A classic, reasonably priced, and a stellar transfer. I see no problem. Just gotta watch the sales and time your purchases well.

Happy shopping and viewing

Prices blow, but the quality is superior in most of their releases.

I agree with everyone who wrote that the PQ/SQ with Fox titles are usually very good.

I also agree that their prices are usually too high. I often wait for sales before buying Fox titles. Hopefully all studios will start reducing the price of their BD's.
