My PS3 remote freezes so often...Why??? - Blu-ray Forum

My PS3 remote freezes almost everyday and I have to reset my PS3 to make it work again.

Anyone knows why and how to fix the problem?

Try changing the batteries?

sounds like a battery issue but might be a defect in the remote? by freezing, you mean that pressing buttons doesnt do anything or the movie freezes?

Any buttons on the remote don't work even though I can watch the movie.

Well it is normal operation for the remote to "go to sleep" after a few minutes of inactivity but one button press should wake it up. Is that what you are talking about? Or does it go to sleep and not come back on until you restart?

Put fresh batteries in, and give it a try. I've never heard of a PS3 remote freezing up unless the batteries were too low.

I have no clue why, other than it could be a battery issue.
