The Shawshank Redemption UK Specs errors - Blu-ray Forum

Hey me again,

I just received my UK copy of The Shawshank Redemption and I wanted to point out a few errors on the site's page.

Video (according to the cover) is: 1080p High Definition 1.78:1 and not 1.85:1
Also, probably due to PAL Speedup, the movie's runtime is approximately 136 mins.

As for the audio, it's actually just: Dolby Digital 5.1 & Dolby Digital 2.0 with Subtitles (haven't checked which ones yet though I reckon it's only English).

The specs are quite disappointing and I may dip once more to get myself the US version.

Actually covers are incorrect far too often... for example the 1.78:1 aspect ratio is a bit suspicious, but I have updated the info anyway. And yes, disappointing specs

Yeah I was suspicious of the 1.78:1 AR especially since I don't reckon the frame differs from the US version.

EDIT: According to DVDBeaver's comparative review, the aspect ratio is indeed 1.78:1.

And just like I expected, the subtitles are only English.

Maybe I missed the boat on this, but is this title region free, I am thinking of importing it from the UK to the US. Thanks!!!
