Default Inventor: Spray water to cool Earth

Read this in the paper yeasterday, and thought it was pretty interesting. Can we kick start the Earth's AC unit? http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepu...rming1221.html

Or, we could simply let the earth go through it's current natural cycle of warming and cooling.....just like it's done for millions of years!

Same thing should apply to dying people right? We should let people die naturally instead of performing surgeries, giving medicine or medical assistance right?

I'm all for natural cycles then.

because those are the same thing...

i'll agree we arent helping things with our pollution, but global warming wasnt directly caused by us.

The earth does go through natural warming and cooling cycles.... but there is also no doubt that greenhouse gasses are accelerating the process.

Personally I am more pessimistic. I don't think this (or anything else) will change the climate issues. I think it's too late and we are in for a ride into the unknown. We'll see what happens. I mean, what else can we do now.

no one talks about the rain that will occur from this...you think hurricanes are bad now, what happens when all this cool water it thrown in the air throwing off all kinds of wind patterns...

Plus, the solar intake of the planet will undermine the solar power effort...less sun = less solar power

I'm wondering if he'll ever get his patent?

McClatchy Newspapers has followed Ace's work for three years and obtained a copy of his 2007 patent petition for what he calls "a colossal refrigeration system with a 100,000-fold performance multiplier."

I don't know.... for every study that says it's not..... you can find two that say it is. In a situation such as this..... wouldn't it be better to err on the side of caution and assume that humans may well be affecting the climate. Even if we aren't.... reducing carbon emissions will only improve the quality of life for everyone.

Not the same thing at all. There is scientific proof that the earth has gone through and continues to go through warming and cooling cycles. There has been no scientific proof that global warming is "real" or that "we" have any control over it, one way or another. Just 30 years ago, all of the "experts" were claiming the earth was cooling and that if we didn't do something to stop it, we'd have a new ice-age soon. Now, these same "experts" are saying the earth is warming...because of us? Please.

no i agree that we're probably helping thing along with all the pollution. i'm simply saying, our pollution didn't start global warming as hippies would have you think lol. if we magically cleaned the world up, global warming wouldn't go away. its a cyclical thing as well.

btw..is that you in your avatar hehe

It is the same thing. Both are natural occurrences, at least you say one of them is. Why intervene in one and not the other?
