Apparently Im suspended, but no idea why. Went onto the playstation boards and it seems a lot of people are being suspended for no apparent reason, although it seems to be HOME related. I dont see how this can be. I have not used home in atleast a week.

weird... your weren't misbehaving on Home were you? anywyas I just finished using home, no problems.

If you google that error code, there are a lot of people complaining about this.

The only course of action ive seen so far is to email sony's PSN support, so I did. Got an auto-response email saying they'll get back to me in 2 business days.

If its NOT fixed in 2 days Ill definitely think long and hard before ever buying DLC/PSN games ever again. This is total F-ing BS. Its an epidemic and Sony needs to get their act together ASAP.

I got a BS code like that.

I haven't even played any online shooters since K2 beta ended.

I spoke to someone at SCE and had it fixed this morning though.

If you think that glitch is nice wait until you change your PSN password and all your saved games become locked "cannot load saved game, data belongs to another user", it also wipes out all your trophies.

After spending 1 week on phone calls with PS customer service I gave up, reformatted my system, sold it and never looked back.

They deny there is any issue despite the 30+ page thread on the PS website of people with the same problem....

Ive heard its a total pain calling about this issue since none of the regular agents know how to deal with it.

Any advice Max? I was looking forward to leveling my R2 coop characters last night....and needless to say I was livid when I got this error.

I don't know, I called up someone I know at SCE London, she had it sorted out by lunchtime. Not sure you can do that though...

Err, keep trying with customer support maybe?

Im on the phone with them now.....the first Rep has absolutely no idea what Im talking about..... all she said was "try back in 24-48hrs"

I repeatedly asked to be informed as to why it was suspended but she said "there is no way for us to know that information" and when I asked if she could transfer me to someone who would know she said "no" (which is insane, if its a suspension SOMEONE has to know why) She didnt even ask me for my email or anything.

So no help there so far....and the email I sent to psn_account-support@playstation...... hasnt been answered yet.

What's the number for SONY? I just got this error too. And if this is HOME related, I deleted that WEEKS ago and just MORE of a reason to hate home.

Will all my profile info be lost? For the dude who got his back working this morn tell us EXACTLY what you said...PLEASE!!!

UPDATE:

I'm hearing from people that this is only a three day (three business days) ban by Sony. After that, all should be good. Until then you can create a new profile and play on that one. At least this didn't take away my downloaded games. I'd FREAK out.

I'm still looking for a number to call, people, if you could help.

they said i was on a one month ban and it wont be lifted until Jan 23rd and once a ban is set in place it cannot be lifted. At least I get to keep my downloaded games.

I didnt do anything wrong...if its for HOME I deleted it after the first couple of days and never used it. This is so messed up.

Sony needs to get on top of this fast.....a lot of people are very pissed off it seems.

Max, any idea why Sony is giving out bans like its candy? This is extremely frustrating, especially when they dont tell you how long/why!!

Its definitely home related, but what could be the cause? The majority of people ive heard from have barely used home, and most (like me) never said anything offensive to anyone.

Im seriously this close from telling all my friends to avoid home like the plague. Its been bad enough with all the delays, and the lack of content, but I was always optimistic. Not anymore. Why would anyone use a program where they had out bans for no good reason???

That was my guess too. But you'd think you'd need either 1) multiple reports against you and 2) sony would look into these reports before banning people. And if that is the case, they could atleast tell you that, but I guess not.

But yes, id recommend staying away from home entirely for now. Too risky

If they were watching our chat log for our club im not too surprised.. I would not put it past sony to audit chat logs with keyword search...

And if they did there was enough you said that night to get you in some trouble...

I am sorry to hear about your 30 day ban though, I for one knew you were only kidding but I guess someone in Sony headquarters didn't think so if that was it, never know...
