I see, you never went to College? I never had a job, besides lots of under table work. So I think the A+ Certification will looks good on paper in this hard economic times.

I have a Sony T200...a couple of years old. The goal for me is to try to take pictures of my gear without using flash. My picture taking skills are kind of weak and adding flash makes my pictures look terrible.

I have FujiFilm S9100. This is really a nice camera, it's just the user of it isn't any darn good.

Before I had a point and shoot and took some really nice pics. It went to my head thinking that it might be a hobby, but once I got a real camera..... Opps bad idea!!!!

I have taken nice pics outside and people, but I can't take them right at home of my system for some reason... Pics always blurred, out of focus and color be off.

Shines...you may want to go for a MCP Cert after Net+. Either go that route or CCNA, MCSE, or Linux (Linux+ or RHCE). Security is pretty big too these days.

Working in Silicon Valley, it's important to have a BS degree plus as many Certs as possible. After college I went the UNIX route but then changed to CCNA/CCNP and MCSE. Those Certs look good on the resume but try to get as much experience as possible too. That's what counts the most. Currently I am working to update my MCSE to 2008.

I shoot with a Nikon D300 with Nikkor 24-70/2.8 lens on a Manfrotto tripod. I plan on doing some new shots with flash off camera so I don't get that glare in the TV screen.

On an IT note, I started out in a help desk center. Made friends with the IT guys. Volunteered my services whenever I could. They were really cool and helped me learn about networking and telecom. I now hold Cisco, Juniper, and Adtran certs. Looking to get me Cisco CCDA, Cisco CCVP, and Adtran VoIP certs this year. Additionally, I got my Associates in Computer Networking paid for by my employer.

BTW, this journey all started in 1996 because I got laid off from a construction company and I went to a temp agency and scored 100% on their Windows competancy exam.

Keep the faith and things will work out.

This is my plain, I plain to get my MCSE after A+ and Net+. I just really want to try and land a job making about $10 an hour, so I can afford to get my own place (Probably get a room mate). Living with my family is very stressful and I think it will be best for me to get out. But I love computers and I think IT is a good path for me. Allot of people seem to like it.

I plain to go to college in a year or so. I can't decide if I should go to Valencia then UCF and major in Computer Engineering Technology (Networking). My other option is Embry Riddle and major in Computer Engineering.

haven't posted pics but I use an olympus d575 for just shooting random things, my primary camera is a canon elan 7n with 70-200f4L I am hoping to get a 1Ds mark 1 soon or a 5d ( wish they would weather seal it ) but it's either that or the new B&W's so i will have to wait on the new cam. I love film so waiting's not hard, I just need a digital for the times when a photo might not be film worthy or if i have to get the pic somewhere fast.

having more than one expensive hobby is hard

looks like my speaker upgrade will take a budget step back for now but it's for a good reason. my parents decided we should take a family trip in a few months and said they would pay for half of a new dslr as an early b-day present to take on the trip so my speakers will have to wait but I will be able to take better gear photos. so my new photos will be taken with a 30D

Canon XSi on my part with one of the kit len (18-55mm EF-S).

It would be nice however to get a wide angle (to get wide shoots of the room) and/or a fast lens (to shoot in low-light conditions without flash...). The Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 would do both nicely! (now I just need to save 800$ to get it)

Using a tripod with the timer or remote to shoot is also always a great idea!

I have that camera. Put it on a tripod, and use the "N"atural light mode setting w/o a flash, and use the 2 second timer (to let your finger have time to get off the shutter release) and you'll get some nice shots.

Nikon D40x with 18-135mm VR lens. All shots except for a few quick ones were shot on manual with flash off.

I have a Sony T200 and that's why my pictures are not so great. I could use a tri-pod and a camera that takes super wide shots so I can do a better job of capturing pictures in my small HT.
