Default Taking Home Theater photos: What do you use?

There are a lot of pics in this section/gallery, and some of the photos I've seen have looked amazing, and some not so much.. I'm curious about what kind of camera's everyone uses to take their home theater photos.

SLR?
Point and shoot?
Cell phone?
Professional?

Share the info !!

I have yet to take pics of my setup. But if I was going to. I would use an Advance Point & Shoot or a DSLR.

I used a Canon D450 DSLR with a canon US len set at 28mm with a polarizer filter, shot at hightest rez. of 12.2m
Full manuel mode, yes the 1st photo sucks, I had it on portrait mode.

I seen some nice pics taken with that camera. But I still think the Canon G9 is one of the top dogs for Advance Point & Shoot.

I got my G9 new for $400 with a 8 Gig SDHC. If your camera is really a $100, then wow. In all honesty I should have grabbed one of them.

Around $550 here, and yes I got mine for under $200. I figured if I was going to spend over 500 dollars I might as well get a DSLR.

Not sure yet, I have a good year on this camera to justify it. It really has been a great camera for the money.

Nikon Coolpix S610. Got it as a gift for Christmas. Would like to take some screenshots with it.

Hmmm, I will have to recommend that Camera for my brother. I know the biggest reason I got the G9 was for it's performance and manual control similar to a DSLR. How I could easily slip it into concerts since it does not look like "Professional" camera. But if I am lucky I can try and get my flash gun under the radar.

I had a hard time finding a good setting for concerts, but for everyday use it is great. Definitely better than most in the price range.

As for screenshots, I have had good results...

That is also handheld.

It does good, I still want to upgrade though. I am just afraid once I get a DSLR I will be spending all kinds of cash on different lenses...

It might be better off in, ohhhhhh a kids college fund. Ya know?????

Congrats on the certs, they never hurt and probably help a lot. I have 0, but could probably pass most. I am the manager of my IT department and love the field, so have fun with it!

I know, I just worry about funds to much. We penny pinch, but go out to eat 3 days a week. We are a sick bunch!

Yea, I am just looking for a decent paying job through college... Even if it means working at Geek Squad.

What I did was find a entry level help desk position and bust my butt to the top. It will take some time, probably even a couple of years, just be patient.
