but why don't we make this an official home theater pic thread? I need to take some pics of my "garage conversion" complete with Oliver Reed themed bar... ![]() |

You coud battern the wall with say 30 to 40mm batterns and cover the brick and sheet it with drywall. Then your wires will be covered.I did this for a lady where i live and it come out really good.

Well the rose matches the speakers to a degree, and the carpet is black, which matches the leather recliners we are getting and the blue ceiling is dark and is probably the only neutral color. Anything but White especially in a cinema. The setup you saw is a seperate building from the house. There is no windows just double doors on the same frame.

if your willing to make the effort you might wanna take a couple brick out and drill out the back or them so the wires can run behind them. but of course that is only provided the fire place is not being used

![]() Two things though: - Isn't the drumset causing noise when watching movies? When I play my digital piano through the speakers I always have the snare carpet or some cymbals chiming in. Very annoying. - Have you considered sitting a little closer? 1x to 1.5x times picture width will give you full HD detail ![]() Enjoy your BDs ![]() |

Just upgradet from a complete Dali Helicon surround to B&W, with 803D as front and I am extremly satisfied. I still need a HTM2D center and SCMS rear, but I am still a student, so I can't afford them, just yet.
...just bought the BD-P1000 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Here's my setup. Not as impressive as some of the home theatres out there, but I have a small flat and lounge:
![]() TV - Toshiba 37WLT68 LCD - 720p/1080i (should have gone for a 42" 1080p LCD in hindsight ![]() Speakers - Sony L+R + Sony Pascal 5.1 = 7.1 (4 speakers out of shot, behind couch) Remote - Harmon Kardon TC30 Detail of the kit: ![]() Anti-clockwise from the top left: Games Console - Sony PS3 CD Player - Old Sony CD Player VCR - Thompson beastie - records NTSC A/V Receiver - Sony STR-DA 5200ES - 3x HDMI, video upscaling & 7.1 DVD Player - Pioneer multiregion DV696 Games Console - Sony PS2 Portable DAT - Sony PCM M1 2 PCs out of shot - the Dell 8400 is hooked up directly to the Toshiba LCD.
