Default Tidal wave of Fox titles for 4th quarter?

Most of the biggest upcoming hi-def disc titles announced in recent days, such as "Cars," "Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End," "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," and "Spider-Man 3," will be available only on Blu-ray. Adding to the torrent will be a tidal wave of Fox titles exclusively on Blu-ray -- rumblings amongst insiders indicate that the studio is very close to breaking up its months-long logjam with a flood of Fox titles expected for the 4th quarter led by "The Simpsons Movie" (opened at a whopping $72 million last weekend) and a couple other of the summer's biggest hits such as "Life Free or Die Hard" and "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer."

I hope it happens soon just so I don't have to hear the where is Fox talk anymore. Of course it will then switch back to what's the deal with Fox's prices but change is good.

I know the FOX will be a big factor in the war, since it is finally getting around to it. I understand why they halted, and since it is still early in the war, it sounds like now is the time for them to act.
This holiday season will really help define the future of the market in a very big way.
With better sales, lower disc prices, dropping player prices, more support, more content, more movies and games, and more players on the market, I can't see how HD-DEAD stands a chance against the juggernaut that is Blu-ray.

Arguably, this guy is an insider. This is a multi-studio sponsored high-def promotion site (but clearly really a Blu-ray promotion site).

I expect this is about as close to a confirmation of a Fox flood we're going to get until the actual announcement hits. Maybe it will happen this week.

If Fox is smart and wants to make some nice pocket money for the Christmas season they will release a flurry of titles

I am really hoping this is true, because it can only contirbute to the end of this war and we will all live in a Blu World, which as Disney says is Beyond Perfect!

It's a good way to not announce things in a PR. If it doesn't happen, Fox doesn't have to do a thing. It's meaningless news until Fox announces it.

That blog is funny, it even mentions that thieves chose Blu-ray exclusively!

Reading those blog entries, I wonder if he's a lurker here picking up nuggets of ideas of what to write about.

He's certainly politically spot on with many people on here.

I hope that Fox adds "Walk the Line" to the list of movies this holiday season in addition to the other killer Fox movies.

I'm lining up for a ton of Fox titles, but please please at least drop the new title price to $34.95.... the $40 discs just turn me away until I can find a good sale.

If it wasn't for Silver Surfer, FF4 would have been a lot worse than it was. Thing should CGI and not a guy in a suit. Anyone ever see the FF4 they made in the 80's? It was outright hilarious!
