BBC made Traffik in 1989 as a mini series it was the inspiration for Steven Soderbergh's 2000 film critically acclaimed Traffic.

Bumping this thread because we still don't have the superb late '80's BBC mini-series Traffik on Blu yet. Great series that really shows how drug trafficking is ruining lives - but is also extremely profitable.

I understand that Soderbergh's award winning Traffic (2001) is much better known & definitely more expensive & slicker looking. But, the original Traffik was extremely well-done, more comprehensive, and overall superior to Soderbergh's version.
