Default Blu-ray supporters are banned from AVSForums.

Here is what i received when i posted a opposite thread in reverse to one wich is posted in the BD section of their forum. They threatened me and then banned my account

I don't know why your surprised by this. You should have seen it coming. AVS forums is not the place to go for tempered information its the place to go if your a crazy fan boy.

I'm sure there are two sides to this story.
The mods on their boards aren't the problem, matter of fact they are generally pretty fair.

It's just that alot of the veteran posters there are HDDVD early adopters and have alot of people riding their coat tails. or (swingin from their nutz)

I prefer things over here. It's a lil liberal, but also conservitive in that there is a no B.S. stance taken on this crap.

Revenge is a dish best served cold. I hope the fan club buys every HD-DVD player and media (save the poeple who are not educated on the HD war getting hurt) they can then add them to their laserdisc collection. I find this carry on silly, on paper both formats are the same, just the computer industry will go BD because of capacity and BD is going to win because the industry support both software (I'm aware of the HD-DVD camp's theory that Universal in titles has more than Columbia Tristar, MGM, Fox and Disney combined - I don't belive it though) and hardware. Anyone here that wants to purchase a HD-DVD player, good luck to them, as they know exactly what they are doing and will not be complaining when media and players become scarce. I'm actually all for a good fight as it will force prices down much quicker than otherwise and bring more titles out. You had better know what you are doing, or it could be expensive!

Ya know, maybe they do have quantity. But on my dvd rack it is made up of sections that hold i believe 30 discs per square. I have my movies cataloged by studio and so i can see what studio's i have the most movies from.

Universal doesn't even fill one square on my rack(about 4 shy).

between MGM, SONY, Columbia, Tristar i have 4 squares.

Disney has two, then Fox has 3.

I also have very few Paramount movies it seems (about 25).

and then I have 3 squares of WB flicks. & one 1/2 of WB's New line series.

So If they have quantity, I sure as heck aint buying many of em.
About the only thing I like from the Universal flicks I have is the jurassic park flicks & Fast & furious series.

What thread did you start? I'm not seeing it in either of the BD forums on AVS.

Oh, wait, is it the "BD Industry to be worth 28 billion by 2010" thread?

Actually I have a really good laser disc collection, before DVD they really rocked, they look really awful now.... Been playing them on my funky new Bravia.

(But some of them still sound really good).

Laser Discs are really good fun, it's a real ritual playing these things, they're like the 78RPM of video formats. And there's a lot of movies out on Laser Disc you can't get on DVD, and definately not BD. And they're way better than VHS, VHS just plain sucks.

Before 1995, laser disc was the home cinema enthusiast format of choice.

As for the avsforum, screw em... Don't waste energy on forum wars, if you think BD is so great, vote with your wallet and start your collection of Blu Rays.

Guys in forums are ditto heads, it's the same in the video game world. You've either down with the group think, or you're out.

Current BD collection: 3 Watched them all backwards and forwards lots of times.

I've got a whole box at the foot of my bed full of laserdiscs. I love 'em. Still pop them on sometimes. Do they look so good? No, not anymore. But there is a definite nostalgia factor to them, and I doubt I'll ever part with them.
