Help with conecting Blue ray / Home Theatre

I currently have a sony home theatre kit DAV DZ830W that upscales my DVDs through HDMI conection. I paid £450 for this about 10 months ago and the sound quality is excellent 1000w.

My question is first would it be worth me purchasing a Blue Ray player would I get better quality in terms of the picture. Secondly am I able to link a Blue Ray player to the home theatre kit and if so how. Lastly is the Sony S350 a good Blue Ray Player to purchase.

Any help / advice appreciated.

What TV are you using?

Secondly am I able to link a Blue Ray player to the home theatre kit and if so how.

Only via optical cable, which will give you lossy surround codecs (DD5.1 / DTS 5.1) but not lossless audio. You'd need to have an HDMI input on your receiver for that.

Lastly is the Sony S350 a good Blue Ray Player to purchase.

With 1080p on a 50" plasma you should clearly see the benifits of Blu.
