Default best 2 player multi-player games.

Hi all,

My brother in law recently got a PS3 and was wondering what everybody thinks would be a good 2 player - online game?

We played Burnout Paradise 2 player which was fun, but what else would you recommend?

If you dig platformers at all, then Little Big Planet is absolutely the way to go.

Put you hands down...Little Big Planet. I haven't played with anyone who didn't absolutely love it. This is the type of game that sells consoles if Sony would just advertise it more.

If you like FPS the best on-line game would be Resistance 2 hands down. The co-op is absolutely incredible! Though COD is also a good FPS, i think Resistance 2 is better.

If you want fun two player only and like FPS's, then I'd suggest Resistance 2 for sure and maybe Rainbow Six Vegas 2. I've had a blast with friends with both of these games.

With Resistance you can play co-op with two people locally offline or the two of you can play locally with 6 more people on line (for a total of 8) Vegas is also fun, although i have not played the 2nd one.

Thats what he told me as we played.. after awhile he decided he didn't want to play anymore... with the quote that the controls did not feel right... possible he might have meant the synchronization between the controllers request action and the action of the character.. the way the character moves etc...

Resistance 2 coop mode is really fun but you must be at least 3 to really enjoy it (one of each class)

3 people also helps to make it easier. Even with two people it is still fun, but 3 or more are even better. MY friend and i play at my house and we just play online with 6 other people and then we have all the classes covered.

Go Spec Ops!

I found resistance 2 to be extremely disappointing for co op, its no longer a campaign its more like a chore of playing random missions that have no connection or feel like there is a continuation.. The way the implemented its just not fun... If they had perhaps let it continue and act as a campaign instead...

I hate to say this but Resistance 1 > Resistance 2, I really wish they would have added a co op feature into the single player game...

I see where you are coming from on that. The on-line co-op is not the same campaign played in the single player. It is a bunch of missions that support the campaign, but are different from the single player campaign. I do agree with you that Resistance 1 is a great game as well! I own both Resistance games!

I own both.. I personally had wished they could have at least set the co op missions to run in series.. instead of ending after the one mission.. At least then you could have a feeling of some continuation and at least then you won't have to reteach yourself your new team members play styles..
