lol....i don't lend mine any more and don't feel like i'm an ass because of it...i've got friends i'm close with but they just don't take care of stuff like i do....nothing worse then lending blu's and ps3 games and getting them back scratched, broken, or with the cases dirty/cracked.

my friends can watch them at my place with me, but taking them back to their place is a no-no.

depends.... are your friends irresponsible d-bags?

if so, then you are not being an ass.

bottom line: it's your property, don't feel bad about it. If you are still unsure then have them verbally commit to replacing any damaged BD's and then you are set.

I think this thread has been done...

But the only person I will allow to borrow my movies, is my brother.

I don't lend mine out.

I've had too many bad experiences with DVD's.

People borrowing them and not getting them back to me, scratched disks, etc. etc. etc.

Thankfully my only friend with a PS3 is 2 hours away so I do not have the problem.

Look at discs you rent from the video store or Netflix. Most people can't seem to handle a disc without getting fingerprints all over it or scratching it.

I don't loan mine out either.

I tell them that the blu-ray they want to borrow has been borrowed by someone else already or that I sold it. If they are at my house I just tell them I was planning on watching it soon so I can't let it out. Usually by the second or third time they'll get the drift. Or just say "No man."

nobody cares for your stuff like you will - my experience is that even the best friends hold on to stuff too long (and family is worse) and some lose the things all together - I'd say no

No, you are just being cautious. Fortunately for me, all my friends already have the same movies I do.

Yeah thanks for the feedback yalls. I just got a bunch of crap from my friend on how stingy I am and blah blah blah because I wouldn't let him borrow my planet earth. Then he asked to borrow my Ultimate Matrix Collection I said no... Then he asked to borrow my Resident Evil Trilogy and I said no... Then he was like let me borrow your Mummy Trilogy. He obviously didn't get the point and ended up getting really mad to the point he wanted to end the friendship because I was stingy! This is coming from a guy who does not own 1 blu-ray movie and rents his blu-rays from Blockbuster.com....

the one nice thing about having friends who haven't gone blu yet is the fact that they never ask to borrow any
