Yeah thanks for the feedback yalls. I just got a bunch of crap from my friend on how stingy I am and blah blah blah because I wouldn't let him borrow my planet earth. Then he asked to borrow my Ultimate Matrix Collection I said no... Then he asked to borrow my Resident Evil Trilogy and I said no... Then he was like let me borrow your Mummy Trilogy. He obviously didn't get the point and ended up getting really mad to the point he wanted to end the friendship because I was stingy! This is coming from a guy who does not own 1 blu-ray movie and rents his blu-rays from Blockbuster.com....

the one nice thing about having friends who haven't gone blu yet is the fact that they never ask to borrow any

My friends do, they don't even own a Blu Ray Player. Yet, when you explain it to them, they look at you clueless...

I used to let my brothers watch my blu-rays until they started tearing up all of my brand new blu-rays and leaving me with a bunch of opened discs that I have yet to watch. Now I lock my door.

As I posted in the other thread, my friends know if it gets borrowed, it comes back in the same condition or they buy me a new one.
They have no problem with this.

I have good friends... do you?

There alright, I would not say good. But there's only one I trust enough to borrow a movie. I know she would replaced it if damaged, but she does not have Blu.

Thankfully I am only 1 of 4 people I know that has a blu ray player. My parents have one, so they can borrow them because its the same house. My sister does also because I bought it for them, so they do because they are honest and will replace any discs they brake or anything of the like. And my best friend also can because he has more movies than me so I will just steal some from him until he pays up!

Default I thought you were my friend, guess not.

You need a place to stay. You need a couple of bucks. You need to use a cellphone cause your battery is dead. You need a bone marrow or an organ donor & I'm the same blood type as you.

Remember when you wouldn't let me your blu-ray, thanks for understanding, kbye *phone clicks*

people are more important than blu-ray movies. i have no problem letting people/friends/family borrow movies. i can always get the movies again. i can't always get friends or family again. the movies aren't worth it. if i felt i was becoming what i thought was too stingy i'd get rid of all of my movies. i just don't care that much about movies enough to place them over people. sorry.

But at $20-60 for some of these movies. It can get pricey if these get destroyed, not all friends/family will replace them. If they where $5 not as big as a deal, but these can be finically expensive.

Family are usually the first ones to screw you over.

Maybe you have trustworthy family, but my family will screw you over in a heart beat. Friends can be the same way, I only trust one friend with my Blus. But she does not have one.

I like you P.O.V But, some friends family members can be irresponsible with your property and you have to close the door on a few of them.

I felt bad over Christmas when my nephews told me they just got a PS3 but no Blus to watch on it. (They are gamers anyway) I just couldn't loan them any movies because I know how things disappear when they are loaned out to them or they get damaged. I keep my Blus put away.

They are the only ones I know who can even play Blu-ray movies around here.

I'm very anal about my discs as well. I do not loan my discs out to anyone. No one can take better care of them then I do.

I still have my very first DVD purchased back in 1995/96 and the disc, cover-art, and case are in MINT condition.

It's gotten to the point that my friends don't even ask anymore.

that's the reason i stopped loaning dvds out to many of my friends. they were taken care of, but it took much more energy than necessary to track them down and get them back.
