Unhappy 800u doesn't fill the screen when used as a PC monitor??

I assigned 800u as my second monitor, but when I set the res to 1920x1080 it won't fill the whole screen, even if I use HD size 1. Any way to fix that?

If you have a look at Bizdady's post, you will see he lists several resolutions for what I'm assuming is your television's compatible range. None of those are 1920 x 1080, which is what you're saying you're having trouble displaying properly on your set. I would suggest you go with the 1280 x 768 setting, assuming your video card can output that resolution. That one is the highest resolution setting that's (more or less) 16:9, as 1280 x 768 is 1.67:1; 16:9 is 1.78:1, so it should match your screen nicely.

I have the computer connected to my plasma set to 1360 x 768; I had it at 1280 x 1024 for several months thinking I'd get "the best resolution" (which, at the time, I equated with "best picture") out of that, but what I ended up getting was just a stretched image because the resolutions didn't match up. The 1360 x 768 is better. Then again, my computer ain't all that either.
