Could be a bandwidth issue. And, as I mentioned, you have to use very specific ports on those particular units even if all firmware is up to date on the TV, player, and receiver. That's always an issue with more budget devices. Also, get another HDMI cable and swap it out. Try various scenarios. I think i had it set to rtings settings at the time i was viewing Last Jedi. Ill keep looking into to it
btw, i have like the poor mans version of your theater room haha. Same kinda color scheme and layout. I love it dude good job. |

When you say you used rtings, did you also use their white balance settings? If you did I strongly recommend you reset your tv and it could be why your blacks look off. Every display is different and those settings should only be changed if you have software and a meter. Also, you will need to lower your contrast when watching SDR because VIZIO clips above reference whites. Contrast should be at 45. I wouldn’t make any changes for HDR. |
